Just south of the famed “Yukon”, which is known for its excellent moose, caribou, sheep hunting and more. We are located in the Cassiar Mountains which are historic mountains running along the Cassiar Highway through northern British Columbia.

You have the ability to fly in to a town called Smithers, BC and arrange a flight from there out into the wild bush country or, you can drive up to a small village town and arrange a flight via float plane from there to arrive at our lodge. If you decide to drive, you will likely see wildlife along the Cassiar highway such as black bear, moose and who knows what else might wander across there! It’s truly one of the most beautiful highways in North America.

As far as our moose hunting is concerned, you will have the chance to harvest a moose that might push the 60″ mark. These are not true Yukon moose that get 70″+. But they do have great genetics and “look like a moose”. Our moose hunting starts in Sept and runs in to early October. The peak rut is generally the last part of September where the bulls are looking for cows in full force. This is an amazing time to be in the woods.

As we approach October the weather can start to turn and it can get cold and brutal at times. But this is part of the adventure being in the north country! We typically wrap up our hunts and try to exit the north country around mid October for this reason.

In addition to hunting Canadian moose on your trip, we often have hunters book multiple species such as mountain caribou and mountain goat. These are a great addition to your moose hunt and allow for more hunting time after your first tag is filled.
