January 25, 2018British Columbia Backcountry Hunting Gear
January 25, 2018Food is one of the most important items on any trip. No matter what has happen the weather or unforeseen circumstances will be forgotten but the food will be remembered all ways. Whether your someone who has not preference on food or someone who like there goodies, make sure then you pack those little things that make life better. We do provide sweets in the field but it might be unfamiliar with you because we in Canada, don’t get the variety of goodies you might get back home. Most of our in-field backpacking hunts dinners are freezer dried for weight reasons. There are also trail mix’s, dried fruit and granola and chocolate bars and other whatnots packed for you.
Below are some suggestions if you bring some extras for your trip.
- De-hydrated fruits and/or vegetables
- Snack size chocolates and candies
- Jerkey
- Juice crystals or liquids
- Nuts and seeds
Make sure when you are picking them that it is all in approved packaging because you will have to declare them in customs.
